ABOUT
Not the path I expected — but it made sense in hindsight.
I never planned on becoming a marketer.
Like many careers, mine took a few unexpected turns before everything started making sense.
I studied Information Technology because I enjoyed problem-solving. During my first agency role, I hoped to move into web design but instead found myself working alongside graphic designers. Watching ideas evolve from client conversations into finished campaigns sparked a curiosity that gradually led me into client servicing and, eventually, marketing.
Over the last five years, I’ve worked with brands across banking, retail, education and consumer products, managing campaigns across Nepal, the Philippines, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Australia.
Working across different markets taught me something I still carry into every project today:
Good marketing isn’t about doing the same thing everywhere. It’s about understanding what matters to people in that market and adapting accordingly.
One of my favourite moments was helping grow a YouTube channel by more than 340% within a few months—not because we stuck to the original plan, but because we were willing to change it when the data told a different story.
Today, I’m studying a Master of Marketing at La Trobe University to deepen the strategic thinking behind the practical experience I’ve already gained.
Outside work, you’ll usually find me planning my next hike, watching Formula 1, following football or cricket, or exploring new ideas about branding, psychology and consumer behaviour.
Marketing is ultimately about understanding people—and that’s probably what interests me most, both professionally and personally.
